quote of the day

" Wow Mom this is the best dinner ever! Tastes just like Chucky Cheese! "
-----
these words squeezed out of Toby's chicken & cheese quesidilla stuffed mouth during dinner last night.
And now I'm wondering? Compliment? Should I be flattered?
And who knew Chucky was doing Tex-Mex these days?

Hey, if a kid says that, that is a true compliment! Chuckie is hard to compete with. He's no gormet, but to a kid, it's pretty fancy. If he would have said "This pasta is just as good as Chef Boyardee", I would be worried. Especially since you are Itallian :)

Unrelated, but made me think of you guys. I was watching Destination Truth on SciFi and they did a story about the popobawa. Interesting, did the locals ever talk about it? It seems like a very interesting place. They showed them walking through Stonetown in Zanzibar.

LOL Shanna...I knew you'd get a kick outta that one! Toby was SO sincere when he said it that I had to laugh!

BTW...StoneTown Zanzibar is amazingly beautiful! I'm a big chicken tho & you have to go either by boat - most of which look like they shoulda been rusting on the bottom of the ocean many moons ago OR plane - and eight seaters are not my idea of fun! So we only went once. :OP We did see the Crater during baby wild animal season tho & camped on the side of Kili! Soooo many memories!

But I'm shamed to say I have no idea what popobawa is? I'll have to ask the hubby!

Here is a wiki to popobawa. It's a local legend of the giant bat demon that comes in through windows and attacks people. I think it is similar to the "lizard man" or "bigfoot" in the US.

It's said to be used as a politcal scare tactic during election years.
