you know you're a special needs mommy (or daddy) when...

You can't sleep in on Saturday (your only day off) because it's the solo day the lab opens early enough to do a blood-draw before your little one's morning drugs.  The labs must be done prior to swallowing of morning meds.  It's also important to not be excessively late on morning meds when you're seeing seizure activity.  Catch 22.  So you set your alarm for an ungodly weekend hour and schlep off to the lab.

or...

Should you be the parent who stayed home (still in your comfy  jammies) with the other two kids...you end up telling yourself you woulda been better off sucking it up and being the one to schlep the patient to the lab, since your jammies are no longer comfy what with all the guilt you're feeling for staying home.

Don't you just love Guilt? How many times do you just want to kick it in the nuts in any given day? Me? I'm guessing at least 7, possibly as many as 12-14. ;)

Stop the guilt. He probably wouldn't of gotten so excited to be going somewhere with you ;)
