But then there are times...like the other day...when I'm so proud of the little people they're turning into! And since we had that moment together Toby keeps telling me how much better he feels...so I think that one went well. :o)

Thanks!

...danielleDanielle https://www.blogger.com/profile/04484341169494632974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600278351249979209.post-45117944277471932622008-07-20T06:48:00.000-07:002008-07-20T06:48:00.000-07:00Thanks, I'm now crying into my cup of tea! You dealt with that one very well though. xxPatrick John Dennis Conyardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06511304341137191901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600278351249979209.post-60142020810872708022008-07-19T19:19:00.000-07:002008-07-19T19:19:00.000-07:00Shanna...I love that pic too! With this experience, when my daugther sees people out in public with these conditions, she doesn't stare...she says hi and asks how they are doing and tells them anything they will listen to. I can always see the smile in their faces and the appreciation that someone cares enough to talk to them and not be afraid.

Oh how much our own children teach us!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2600278351249979209.post-43330558460283538862008-07-17T10:19:00.000-07:002008-07-17T10:19:00.000-07:00Now that Austin is old enough, I talk to him candi...Now that Austin is old enough, I talk to him candidly about his seizures and epilepsy and needing therapy. Do I hate having to do it? Absolutely, BUT at the same time he is becoming understanding and compassionate to those that aren't "typical" or "normal".

Just like Toby, we are creating a generation of kids that will look at others and NOT see their disabilities but see a little girl or little boy who are still "perfect", just as they are.

Give that boy a squeeze and I am going to go wipe my tears now.JSmith5780https://www.blogger.com/profile/16954759123115546248noreply@blogger.com
