randomnings

A friend's middle schooler offered to walk Trevy around (on his leash) during a recent soccer match. After about 10 minutes of here...there...everywhere...and "no eat!"...

he finally came over and declared...

Mrs. Foltz...I feel your pain!

**********

She always stands funny when she's holding it. Knees bent inwards. Tap tap tapping on her tippy toes.

She was standing like that when I said...

You're gonna pee your pants, Bristel! Go potty now!

She was all big blue eyes and kissable lips when replying...

You know, mommy, sometimes I just like to tap dance.

Then waited about 5 minutes (to make sure I bought the tap dancing line) before racing to the potty!

***********

Toby got super excited when I said I wanted to try my hand at Mario with him.

That lasted oooooooh not even one level!

But in my defense...that turtle looked too cute to be able to kill me that quickly!

**********

Callie was being exceptionally beggy while I was munching on cheese. Bristel decided to take matters into her own hands and came marching over...took Callie's face in her hands...and firmly said...

No, Callie! That is not your dinner!

Then turned to me and added...

Aren't you glad I know how to speak dog?!

**********

I may have mentioned a time or two that Trevy has a thing for opening and slamming doors. He had done so several times while we were waiting in Dr. Pedi's office. It was making quite a racket. Which is why Bristel finally proclaimed...

Trevy sure is a fan of opening doors!

*********

Dr. Pedi told Bristel that a steamy shower would help loosen the gunk in her throat. She had been diagnosed with the croup.

So later that day while she was soaking in the tub and a cough came...

She gurgled...

All the junk food is coming out mommy!

One girl's gunk is another girl's junk!

**********

I was driving Toby to his Bible Club without Bristel. She was home milking the croup love. He started talking about how he wished his sister were with him...and things along that line. And finally said with a sigh...

I'm glad I'm not a lonely kid.

He meant only.

I LOVE your randomnings. They make me smile (and even bust out a heartfelt laugh) no matter what kind of mood I am in.

Dad and I had a good chuckle about the kid with the leash. i haven't shared the rest yet which I am sure will have the same results. I love them, too.
