the surgery stands

Dr. A for Adorable (or Asano the EEG Wizard) stopped by quickly. We've had a couple weird glitches with the recording system. Like the computer just shutting down. Twice. Then flashing that it's not recording. Jazz like that.

But Dr. A said they have captured over 100 seizures already. He has only had a chance to analyze half of them. And will meet back with us later today after he's reviewed them all.

More sensory mapping today. Motor mapping tomorrow.

By the way...we asked. The question on everybody's mind.

Will the surgery be moved forward?

No. It stands. Friday.

Wouldn't it be great if they could/would move the surgery up? Getting past that second surgery is a huge relief. Glad they're getting lots of data, just sorry he has to have seizures for them to get it. Dr. A is great...really knows his stuff.

Oh, that's nice...nothing like glitches to make everything run smoothly...sarcasm, of course.

Definitely sucks that Trevy has endured so many seizures already, but at least time they will somehow benefit him. If that makes any sense...

Sounds like great progress. Hope you get good consistent results.

For you, this week, TGIF takes on an entirely different meaning.

Glitches? We don't need no stinkin' glitches...

I've been dying to get on the computer ALL day & check in!! I too hate to hear he has had sooo many seizures, but hopefully these are the last few days you will be seeing the ugly seizure monster!!

I know it must be so difficult to just sit and watch him having seizures when you know the surgery is right around the corner. I imagine I would be the same way.....let's get this show on the road already......but you know how crazy scheduling is in a hospital, with OR time and anesthesia. And I am sure the data from the mapping has to be analyzed so they can do the best job possible.

Praying for y'all!

YAY! 100 seizures! That's good news. It's the only time EVER that you hope for seizures. That's hopefully enough to pinpoint that #@! section of the brain.

I've been thinking about you and wondering how you all are doing. I wanted to call you so badly before the surgery. I looked through all my emails to you and can't find your number. I could have sworn we spoke on the phone not just emailed back and forth! Anyway, hang in there. Dr. Asano knows his stuff. Tell him we said hi. I'll be checkin the blog and FB! take care.
