I cried when I got the news

I felt like such a heel not going with Trevy for his first post hemi EEG.

Yeeeeeees...Jonathan went with him.

Yeeeeeees...he's just as good as me.

But still!

He's my baby!

I was instead sitting on floor 6 east waiting for Neurology to get their boots here and help me sort out this medicine mess! Seriously it's like a bad joke...how many Neurologists does it take to write a bloody script? And fax prior authorizations?

Cause Trevy's been back for hours now. And I'm STILL waiting!

Anyway...

Jonathan had just stepped out to meet the pizza delivery guy when Dr. EEG made his rounds.

Of course I asked immediately if he had read the EEG. Of course he had. That's why he was there afterall.

And I cried when he told me...

that for the first time in almost two years. For the first time since this whole crazy mess began.

my baby's EEG is completely normal!

Side Note: It's super fun to sob in front of Japanese men and watch them squirm

When I kept repeating how awesome that was...he admitted that they were actually surprised too.

And that he personally was really happy for us.

But that he couldn't promise it would stay clean forever...

I told him...that's okay...

right here...right now...it doesn't really matter!

And then squeezed Trevor, who was curled up on my lap, until he protested...

I am beyond excited for you...that is the dream, you know? I know that the day Julia has a normal EEG will be amazing, not to mention after the scare you guys had last week. So any chance of leaving tomorrow? Sorry the insurance monkeys aren't doing their job.

I got goosebumps...must feel so surreal to hear the words normal and EEG all used in one sentence! A miracle has unfolded right before you...I am soooo happy for you I could cry!

Thinking it's time you should title him EX-seizure boy?!?

I already knew it because of fb....but still....INCREDIBLE...just INCREDIBLE. What an amzing thing for you guys. I am so happy for you. really happy. crying happy.......
Another one of our friends had her first or possibly three surgeries tonight. The sunlight, artificial light...any light...causes her seizures. They are going to have to take most of her occipital lobe out, IF they are only coming from there. The jury is still out. She will definitely have vision loss, and could be blind. Could you imagine? Not much of a choice though. Her daughter is deteriorating so fast. They only give her 1 to 3 years to live. My heart hurts for them....
Anywoo....SOOOOOOO HAPPY. I am sure you will sleep better tonight than you have in a long time!!!!!

I am a sobbing mess for you all that I don't even know what to say. How can you put into words how much that means?!?!

You are an incredible mother, doctor, therapist and much more. You fought so hard for Trevy. He is here today because of you.

Ken was right...here's to a good week! Love you bunches and I am so incredibly happy for you.

Wow, how awesome is that! I grabbed Kylie and we did a little dance for you guys..she started smiling and clapping when I said "Yay, Trevor!"

I'm sure it feels so surreal, but it is sooo for Real!! That sounds like the best way to end your stay there..I think that should be more than sufficient for getting the discharge orders put in :)

Love and Prayers,
Jody

I hope you get to go home tomorrow. I wish you didn't have to go through the hassle with insurance. It seems a bit crazy just to get Tripetal. I guess I have just been lucky with insurance so far.
