already exhausted

We have been dreading tomorrow for weeks now.

I seriously cannot think of anything more exhausting than over-night in-patient EEGs. In fact...I'm SO zonked just from the thought of the next 48 hours that I've been sitting here staring at the screen. Drooling. Hardly able to will my fingers to type. I wonder how much time I'll waste before clicking publish? If I even make it that far?

Ugh!

So we'll pack our essentials tonight.

Zipper-ed sweat shirts & jamies for Trevy. No over the head garments allowed when one's head is swaddled in cotton...and attatched to gobs of wires & electrodes. Some toys. Because it always takes FOREVER to get hooked up with the hospital's. A couple dvds that'll entertain him for precious mili-seconds. His meds. Cause Vigabatrin's hard to find in-stock! Which btw he's down to just half a tab. One more decrease and we're done for good! Oh...and this time we're bringing his bed. Trevy still sleeps in a pack & play. I'm hoping it makes everything (especially night time) run a bit easier. Trevy is addicted to his own bed...

Comfy clothes...books...munchies...and the laptop for mommy n' daddy. We were thrilled to learn that hospital now has wire-less! That'll entertain mommy & daddy...

We're also prepared to begin our Banzel trial.

Annnnnnnd...

Dr. Neuro sent an email letting me know she would like to go over Trevy's PET scan results in person. Her email was cryptic...Dr. Neuros are short on time...

But if I wasn't reading into things too much...I'm pretty sure she was saying that the abnormal activity (slowing...as she put it) was exclusively in his left temporal & frontal lobes. She was forwarding the scan to Dr. Chugani as well.

Better juice up on coffee. I think I'm gonna need my wits about me!

Will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers that everything goes smooth for Trevy tomorrow.

Hopefully taking his own bed works out well. Haylee slept in a pack and play until we bought her her toddler bed when she turned 2. That's what the new little one will be sleeping in also since we can't find the sliders for the front of the crib and Delta no longer carries that model. Of course, the model number isn't checked off on the crib so I can't even order new parts for it. grrrr

Good luck.

I am confused on one thing though...on your overnight EEG's, do you have to stay awake? We never received that instruction on either of our overnight EEG's, and I am wondering if I am just misunderstanding your situation or if we should have received different instructions.

A...OMGosh...I didn't know you were SO close to popping?! I don't blame ya for being ready...no offense taken. I actually prayed Trevy in until the 3rd tho...he was due April 1st. And I just didn't want an April Fools babe.

Sharon...thanks honey. And ditto!

Ken...this one we're allowed to sleep during. Although it really depends on the data the doctors are trying to retrieve. There was a time we thought Trev was having night seizures only. That was a bear...cause they wanted us to press the button all night long. Not fun! Although sleeping in a hosptial sucks in he sleep depot anyway...

Katie & Dawson's fam...thanks SO much!

Oh...and Jonathan thinks I should do a live blog since we'll be connected! ha...we'll see...

Oh goodness, i'm exhausted for you already. Something about the hospital I think just drains the life out of me. Hopefully you'll get the answers you've been waiting on. The laptop was awesome during our last stay...kept me from pacing...as much. 8) Sounds like you've got everything ready to go, & you all will be in my thoughts! Oh if you get super bored, let me know, and we can FB chat!! {{{hugs}}}

I cried when I got the news

I felt like such a heel not going with Trevy for his first post hemi EEG. Yeeeeeees...Jonathan went with him. Yeeeeeees...he's just as good as me. But still! He's my baby! I was instead sitting on floor 6 east waiting for Neurology to get their boots here and help me sort out this medicine mess! Seriously it's like a bad joke...how many Neurologists does it take to write a bloody script? And fax prior authorizations? Cause Trevy's been back for hours now. And I'm STILL waiting! Anyway... Jonathan had just stepped out to meet the pizza delivery guy when Dr. EEG made his rounds. Of course I asked immediately if he had read the EEG. Of course he had. That's why he was there afterall. And I cried when he told me... that for the first time in almost two years. For the first time since this whole crazy mess began. my baby's EEG is completely normal! Side Note: It's super fun to sob in front of Japanese men and watch them squirm When I kept repeati...

they grow back curly! Saw the "unknown" flashing on the face of my cell phone and knew who it was. Who it had to be. Dr. Fellow. My eyes met Grams' and I nodded. Grams has a pool, see. For super hot days like today. We're also having a septic installed. Which meant no water or facilities at my place. But those weren't really the reasons I was there. Close to mom. The purple ringing thing in my hand was. Only I wasn't prepared for it to be ringing SO darn soon. Shortly after lunch instead of dinner! I swallowed. Took a deep breath. And clicked connect. Dr. Fellow has a very nice phone tone. Clear. Hint of compassion. If only a stitch of humor were added...it'd be heavenly. But there was no humor. Just business. He's very direct. I'm learning that about him. Which explains his short hello. Followed by immediately pushing into the news. Being that it was a unanimous consensus. The entire surgical committee feels Trevor is a good candidate. And then p...

it's like being asked to the prom...

only MUCH MUCH bigger! I had noticed (yes...I stalk my site meter!) that a government ISP had logged onto Trevor's blog. Whoever it was had spent a good deal of time hanging out too. Followed a few minutes later by a government ISP...hailing from Washington. As in DC! My eyebrow raised. It was just kinda odd. Note-able odd. You know? Anyway...later that day (last week) I was folding laundry & thinking my crazy insane thoughts. Along these lines... I hope I'm not saying anything I shouldn't! Maybe I made somebody mad? Wait a minute! I live in America! I'm allowed to say anything I want! Aren't I???? A shout from the other room interrupted my thoughts before I had a chance to further mull. It was Jonathan. I had just received an email. **Side note...he's always doing that! Reading my emails! Sheesh!*** The said email was from a US Senator's aide! Asking if he could speak with me. Little ole' hardly has time to splash some make-up on ...
