road warriors

I wanted to pop Jonathan in the eye last night when he suggested leaving at the crack of dawn this morning. In fact...he's lucky I didn't. No heaping of the stress!

::wink::

We'll leave when we leave

was my snippy response.

Of course...nervous energy woke me at 3:45 am. Wide eyed and ready to hit the road. Which is why we ended up leaving at the crack of dawn anyway!

10 hours of highway bliss later...we finally arrived at our destination. A former sponsor (from our playing missionary days) has a guest suite right off the highway in route to Detroit. And offered it for us! Very sweet. Annnnnd...we have wireless!!!!

Trevy was a serious road warrior. No fussies to speak of. Just typical sweet Trevy.

I'm exhausted. Jonathan's exhausted but chatting with the kids. Trevy's already cribbed. And snoozing.

We've decided to make a short detour before heading onward tomorrow. We're going to swing through Lima, OH to say I love you to Nana and Poppie and Babu.

And then on to Detroit.

For the prayer warriors among us...please pray alongside us that Trevy stays healthy...and specifically that his ear infection clears up. So they don't send us home with a date six months from now!

Trevor, could I have your ear infection please? I promise I will take very good care of it. You can have it back in 2014. Thank you. You are so kind.

Sorry I've been quiet lately, just spending time with the family. But I always read and y'all are ALWAYS in my prayers. I'm glad the wait is over and his date is finally here.

I thought I felt a tremor in the Force. You're in Ohio now. And you're going to Lima? Now you will understand why I would love to live back on the East Coast. :)

Big prayers that the ear infection is gone or a non-issue! We passed through Lima today on our way home (we're in Cincinnati).
